The all-new 2020 Ford Escape arrives on the market this year after a full redesign. The all-new generation of the 2020 Ford Escape features more interior space, more versatility, improved interior dynamics, a much more powerful range of engines, and improved safety and connectivity.
Let’s start inside, where the 2020 Ford Escape has received a complete makeover. A new available 12.3-inch instrument cluster is one of the few of its kind in the segment and gives the new Escape a ton of refinement and elegance inside. In terms of interior space, the new 2020 Ford Escape is one of the most spacious compact SUVs with over 1,000 litres of cargo space in the back. It also features a new sliding rear seat that can move forward and back to ensure more cargo space or passenger leg space depending on your needs.
A new suite of active safety technologies grouped in the Ford CoPilot360 package gives you a range of advanced driver assistance features that keep you and your family safe. Active Park Assist 2.0 and Evasive Steering Assist are also offered on the new 2020 Ford Escape to keep your family safe and make the ride more enjoyable.
Under the hood, a range of engines is available, including two hybrid powertrains. Base 2020 Ford Escape models have a 1.5-litre Ecoboost engine that delivers 180 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. It can tow up to 2,000 pounds. A 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine offering 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque is offered as well. You will have a lot of trouble finding a more powerful engine in this segment.
“This new vehicle performs like no other Escape before,” said Jim Hughes, Escape Chief Program Engineer. “It’s quick, it’s responsive and, in staying true to the standard set by three generations of Escapes before it, it’s a heck of a lot of fun to drive.”
