The Ford F-Series was once again Canada's best-selling vehicle overall in 2021, marking the 56th consecutive year that the Ford F-Series truck is the best overall selling vehicle in the country. Ford sold 116,401 units of its Ford F-Series truck that includes the Ford F-150, the Ford F-250, and the Ford F-350 notably. Moreover, 2021 marked the 10th consecutive year that Ford surpassed 100,000 units sold for the F-Series.
In other words, Ford has sold over 1 million F-Series pickup trucks since 2012. In total, 1,310,304 full-size Ford F-Series trucks have been sold in the last 10 years. Although sales of the F-Series truck decreased by 10% overall in 2021, fourth-quarter sales jumped 18%.
In other words, it is clear that Ford is back on track after a challenging year that affected every automaker. Supply issues challenged sales, but Ford showed that it is on the right path with its impressive fourth-quarter results.
Despite the aforementioned challenges, Ford sales in 2021 increased by 2%. Ford was once again the best-selling automaker in the country with 235,915 vehicles sold. This marks the 13th consecutive year that Ford has been the number one overall automaker in the country.
Many models are responsible for Ford's success including of course the Ford F-Series truck. That said, other models like the new Ford Mustang Mach E as well as the Ford Escape did very well in 2021.
