The new 2021 Ford F-150 was unveiled in late June with great fanfare, and it has been the topic on everyone's lips in the auto industry ever since. The 2021 Ford F-150 is redesigned from A to Z and since we're talking about the best-selling vehicle in North America, it's fitting that we pay close attention to it.
There are loads of new features in the 2021 Ford F-150. Here are the ones that stand out in particular.
The new Powerboost hybrid engine
The 2021 Ford F-150 will feature a hybrid engine, a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 combined with an electric drive. Called PowerBoost, this engine can tow a minimum of 12,000 lbs while being very fuel efficient.
The Pro Power system
Want to recharge a motocross or plug in tools on the job site? The Pro Power system integrated into the optional box gives 2.0 kW of power in the majority of F-150s and 7.2 kW in the PowerBoost. You can therefore connect up to 4 120-volt outlets and one 240-volt outlet.
The Trailer Reverse Guidance system
Already offered on the Ford Super Duty, the Trailer Reverse Guidance system greatly facilitates coupling the trailer.
Max Recline Seats
When you have a few minutes to rest, the Max Recline Seats can fold up to almost 180 degrees.
The Work Surface
Ford knows that you often need to fill out invoices or work on a computer in your vehicle. The Work Surface system gives you a large work surface between the front seats.
The new infotainment screen
The 2021 Ford F-150 features a redesigned instrument panel that includes a new 12-inch display with a fully digital instrument panel available.
SYNC 4
The 2021 Ford F-150 will be equipped with a new SYNC 4 infotainment system that offers new features as well as over-the-air updates that can add functionality over time.
Active Drive Assist
The Active Drive Assist system offers autonomous driving technologies that can take over from the F-150 in certain situations, including on the highway. This is part of the Ford Co-Pilot360 2.0 active safety technology suite that comes in the new 2021 Ford F-150.
