The latter combines a four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine with an electric motor for an average consumption of less than 6.0 liters per 100 kilometers despite an output of nearly 200 horsepower. The 2021 Ford Escape can also receive a plug-in hybrid engine that offers 48 kilometers of driving range in 100% electric mode.
