Power, Range and Capabilities

This is why the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning is equipped with a standard 98 kWh battery that powers two electric motors that deliver 452 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels. For even more power, an extended range 131 kWh battery can be ordered, pushing the peak output to 580 horsepower. With the smaller battery, the range in an impressive 370 kilometres and with the large battery, the Lightning can cover 515 kilometres on a single charge. Choosing the bigger battery also increases the towing capacity of the Lightning, which can reach 10,000 pounds when equipped with the Max Trailer Tow package.

The 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning is a very advanced vehicle which benefits from many cutting-edge technologies which make your life easier on the road and on the job site. For example, the standard ProPower Onboard generator that can power electric tools or any electric appliances with up to 9.6 kW of current. This feature can also be used to power your entire home for about three days in the case of a power outage. The F-150 Lightning also comes with technologies such as BlueCruise, which is Ford’s hands-free driver assistance system, Active Motion massaging front seats, and the Pro Trailer Backup Assist system. Since the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning features a traditional pickup design, it benefits from the same attributes that make this type of vehicle so popular with families and business owners. Indeed, the Lightning comes standard with a 5.5-foot bed and the spacious CrewCab, two elements which can be found on a gasoline-powered F-150. What is unique to the electric model, however, is the front cargo area which uses the space freed by the lack of an engine, giving an additional 400 litres of secure and watertight storage.
